Tony Goes Def Jam?

in the vein of celebrating one of the greatest hip hop acchivements of the year i've taken to trying out a lyrical, hippish "Howl"-esque poem. earlier in the month, saul williams, def jam poet and close friend of trent reznor released his album "The Inevitible Rise and Fall of Niggy Tardust," and, it's fucking amazing. his cover of sunday bloody sunday in praticular.

regardless, in the vein of his poetry, and Howl, and other influences, i've attempted the same kind of thing. so hear:

While it started snowing early in December I started thinking,
About the blankets covering the streets turned black rock into white dust.
The tears of our fathers slowly float down, with resolve;
(For snow;
We know,
Has nowhere to go,
But down.)
I sit behind window panes, rubbed by yellow fog,
Licking its tongue around the corners of the evening
And I wait while the lions roar in my mind.
